Comic-Making ResourcesSince I get asked about how I make my comics pretty often, I thought maybe it'd be helpful to provide some tutorials and tips for beginners! The focus here will be making digital comics (like in photoshop or sai), since I'm not experienced making them traditionally with pencils and paper. This is also probably going to lean more towards animal comics, because I imagine that's what most of my watchers are into or interested in making themselves. I'll go over character-making, paneling, scripting, things to avoid, publishing/self-publishing, etc.
Please keep in mind that I'm NOT perfect when it comes to making comics, I really consider my own work to be mediocre at best. vR is much too fast-paced, and there's pretty much no character development, so you probably shouldn't look to it as an example for a "good comic."

Cell-Shading Tutorialby *Sammy-Harlan

Well, I was asked how I do shading, and since I do it a million different ways, I figured I'd do a tutorial on one of my favorite types: Cell-Shading!!!

Love it! I am definitely going to try this. Cell Shading is also one of my favorite styles of shading.

So you just use a hard brush with light grayscales. Do you lower the opacity in anyway or just leave it at 100% with multiply?

Lol, me too!

Yup, but you can also use different colors other than grey to get really neat lighting effects.

I always leave the opacity on 100% with Multiply. If I want it to be darker/lighter, I lock the layer transparency and go over it with a different color. The lighter the color, the lighter the shading (white is invisible, black is black).

I will keep this in mind! I know you're probably super busy, but if you had the time, could you look at a piece of mine I just colored using your tut and offering some suggestions? I like how it looks, but I'm just a beginner and an extra eye would help me a lot.
